About Alexis

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor offering a confidential, reflective space for people who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the difficulties that may feel confusing, persistent, or emotionally demanding.

My work is grounded in the belief that many of the struggles we experience in adulthood have roots in earlier relationships and experiences, often outside of our immediate awareness. These early patterns can continue to shape how we relate to others, how we see ourselves, and how we respond to stress, conflict, or emotional pain.

As a psychodynamic counsellor, I am interested not only in what is happening in your life now, but in how and why certain patterns may have developed over time. Together, we take time to explore thoughts, feelings, and relational experiences at a pace that feels manageable and respectful.

I work with people who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why certain difficulties persist despite their best efforts to change. Some clients come with a clear sense of what they want to work on; others arrive with a more general feeling that something does not feel right. Both are welcome.

Alongside my clinical training, I value reflection, emotional honesty, and the therapeutic relationship itself as central to meaningful change. I aim to offer a space that is thoughtful, non-judgemental, and attuned to the complexity of each individual’s experience.
