Psychodynamic counselling, at your pace
A calm, confidential space where you can begin to make sense of what feels difficult, at a pace that feels right for you. You don’t need to have the right words — we can take time to find them together.
Quiet, Confidential Space
Therapy offers a pause from the noise and demands of everyday life — a quiet, confidential space to slow down, reflect, and speak openly. It is a place where difficult feelings can be approached gently, without pressure or judgement.
Over time, we can begin to notice and make sense of the experiences that have shaped you and how they continue to influence your relationships, emotions, and sense of self, allowing new understanding to emerge at a pace that feels right for you.
Is This Therapy Right For You?
People come to psychodynamic therapy for many different reasons. You may be considering therapy because you want to understand yourself more deeply, or because something in your life feels difficult to move through alone.
Making sense of repeating patterns in your life
Living with anxiety or low mood
Processing grief, loss, or significant change
Difficulties in relationships
Wanting to feel more grounded and connected to yourself
This list is not exhaustive. You do not need to have a clear reason to begin — we can take time to explore what brings you here together.
What to Expect in Sessions
Every therapeutic relationship is unique, but most sessions offer:
Practical Details
- Sessions are 50 minutes and usually held on a weekly basis, supporting continuity and depth in the work.
- I offer sessions in person or online, depending on what feels most suitable for you.
- Fees are discussed openly and transparently before we begin, so there are no surprises.
A Perspective on Change
Change in therapy is often gradual rather than sudden. Many clients find comfort in The Five Chapters of Life, a short poem that captures the slow, steady process of growth, acceptance, and renewal.
Alongside this, I occasionally share reflections, images, and writings that speak to psychodynamic ideas and the emotional experience of change.
Ready When You Are
Taking the first step can feel difficult. You don’t need to know exactly what to say — we can begin wherever you are.
